    To pursue efforts towards intra-African trade within the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), ITC, together with the Ministry of Trade of Senegal, is organizing a Forum on the potential and challenges of access to the continental market for the private sector in West Africa, particularly MSMEs.     World Trade Promotion Organizations Awards

    Global awards for national trade promotion bodies will be announced by the International Trade Centre and the Ghana Export Promotion Authority. Ambassadors from 18 shortlisted countries are live in Geneva and the international jury and participating organizations online when the awards will be received. The full World Trade Promotion Organizations Conference is postponed to 2021 in Accra.

    EU Cities for Fair and Ethical Trade Award ceremony

    The Award recognizes European Union cities that champion sustainable trade, consumption and production. It is a unique platform for cities to share and scale up their sustainability initiatives and contribute to Sustainable Development Goal 12 on responsible consumption and production. The Award is an initiative of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Trade, implemented by the International Trade Centre.

    Designing for Impact: South-South Trade and Investment

    At this webinar organized by the International Trade Centre, the Institute of Development Studies (IDS) and the United Nations Office on South-South Cooperation, a new report will be launched that finds that South-South projects must be flexible and encourage adaptation of easily replicable solutions and technologies, while bridging information and perception gaps in the Global South.     Joint Advisory Group, 54th session

    The International Trade Centre’s Joint Advisory Group (JAG) meets once a year to examine ITC’s programme of work. This year’s meeting will also highlight how the International Trade Centre adjusted its support for small businesses, business support organizations and policymakers to help navigate the crisis and prepare for the recovery.
